Whitewater Rafting Trip June 8-9, 2019

Please, sign up for the whitewater rafting trip. We are going to go to CrabApple Whitewater, Inc. 2056 Mohawk Trail, Charlemont, MA 01339. We are camping one night at Mohawk State Forest at 175 Mohawk Trail, Charlemont, MA 01339. Permission slips were distributed during the troop meeting on Monday. It will also be available on the wensite next week. We are going to meet at the firehouse on saturday morning and return to the firehouse on Sunday evening. Tag Sale June 15

Our Tag Sale is our main way the troop gets funds without raising the dues. It will be held on Saturday June 15. We are still looking for help with items such as sign making, sign placing, donation gathering, contacting charities to pick up left overs after the event. If you are able to assist in any manner please email tagsale@cttroop62.org We are also looking for somewhere to store goods before and after the tag sale. If you have space we could use - or know of someone that can lend us some space please also contact tagsale@cttroop62.org

Troop 62’s 75th Anniversary Celebration, Sunday, 6/2, 6:00 to 7:30PM

We will be celebrating out troop’s 75th Anniversary on Sunday, June 2nd (that’s 6-2 :-) from 6:00 to 7:30 pm during a special troop meeting at the Webb Mountain Discovery Zone, 52 Webb Circle, the site of our latest Eagle Project. We will be conducting our regular weekly troop business in conjunction with this event so there will be no troop meeting on Monday, June 3. All former Scoutmasters, Troop Leaders and Troop 62 Alumni are invited, as well as parents and families of current Scouts. Please reply to the evite below so we can plan accordingly. We are looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Deadline Info: Summer Camp Registration - PLEASE READ! Early Bird Special Due April 10

Spring is officially here and it is time to begin registering for our home away from home at Camp Sequassen, July 7-13. Due to a change in the Yankee Council procedure, all campers must submit a $50 deposit before we are able to register them for merit badges.
Here are some important dates:
April 10: Early bird special: $455 payment in full ($415 for second scout) Please either drop this off to Mr Z (115 Williamsburg Dr) or at Starbucks between 7-8pm
April 29: $50 deposit for everyone attending that did not pay the early bird special
April 29: Deadline for Campership requests - Please see Mr Anderson prior to this deadline
May 20: Final payment ($420 first scout, $380 second scout) and medical forms due. There is an additional cost for Discover Adventure Program (Scouts 14 and up) of $50.

Merit Badge Workshop June 22 - Sign-Up April 1st

Registration will begin April 1st for the seventh annual Connecticut Building Trades Merit Badge Workshop to be held at the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 777 Meriden Training Facility on Saturday, June 22, from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.  Scouts age 13 and over will have the opportunity to earn two of ten trade-oriented badges at this popular workshop.
